Chinese startup Betavolt has created a new ‘eternal’ battery that can generate electricity for 50 years. The information was reported by the Independent.
Beijing-based Betavolt claims that its nuclear battery, which contains 63 nuclear isotopes, is the world’s first example of miniaturised nuclear power.
The startup claims that the next-generation battery has already entered the pilot testing phase and will eventually be mass-produced for commercial applications such as smartphones and drones.
