Release date for Apple’s first foldable gadget revealed

Apple Corporation will not enter the market for gadgets with a foldable screen until 2026 at the earliest. This is reported in the Korean edition of The Elec.

According to journalists, the company is considering the possibility of releasing its first foldable device. This is to be a tablet to replace the iPad mini. The device will have a 7-8 inch display. In comparison, the current iPad mini has an 8.3-inch screen. Insiders also revealed the release date for the device – it will arrive in 2026 or 2027.

The future device will receive a flexible OLED-based front panel. It has been reported that the US corporation’s partners – Samsung Display and LG Display – have already sent Apple the first samples of the 7-inch and 8-inch flexible screens. It is most likely that Samsung will turn out to be the main supplier of parts.
