A psychiatrist explained the causes of holiday depression and listed ways to deal with it

During the festive season, many people experience loneliness, frustration and stress instead of joy, says psychiatrist Neha Chaudhary. In an article for CNN, she listed ways to cope with New Year’s sadness.

The specialist noted that during the holidays, people suffer the most from loneliness, as they more often remember those with different reasons not to meet. In addition, she said, amid the general anticipation of Christmas and family gatherings, lonely people have an increased sense of isolation.
